I am partial to this picture of "The Beast" in front of the Grapevine entrance. I love my beast. The black tank in the back is for my water. It holds 85 gallons, plenty for a weekend, even with horses.
This is right inside the gate to the Grapevine.
Mickey has total disregard for no trespassing signs!
I took Cascabel Road home and it was a beautiful drive.
I stopped along the way to take photos of the many ranch entrances that dotted the road.
If you know me at all, you know that I love cattle. I think they are beautiful creatures and even better on the grill. This photo has 2 of my favorite things...cattle and high plains desert. I could have stayed there all afternoon just watching the cattle graze with those beautiful mountains in the background..
and i love fences and gates (and cattle grazing, too) so this post made me very happy. :)
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy the back roads. I wouldn't mind sitting for a while looking at that last scene either. Nothing beats contented cattle in a lovely environment.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics. The SOB gravestone made me laugh!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the gravstone...and well, the whole ranch really!! Go play and win the lottery ASAP so you can buy this ranch...and I can come visit ;)

Too bad for all the people who are always in a big hurry to get where they are going, and never stop to smell the flowers.....One of the favorite things Steve and I have always enjoyed doing together, that back road trip.
ReplyDeleteNo harm in checking out those "what if" properties... I like their sense of humor. :)
