My life changed dramatically and forever when I lost TJ.

I welcome you to follow along as I adjust to my "new normal".

It is not all puppies and ice cream but it is my life....real and honest.

I Am Expecting A Couple of Little Ones!

I spent this past weekend rejuvenating.  I stayed home all weekend and just kicked around the house.  I got some yard work done on Saturday and took Peaches for a ride on Saturday night so I could get some pictures of the full moon.  I was born a Hoosier which means I love basketball, so I also spent a good amount of time watching the NCAA tournament over the weekend, and, of course, I watched NASCAR on Sunday.

While I love spending time with my friends, I also think it is important to take a weekend once in a while and enjoy my own company.  I usually try to "unplug" from internet stuff on the weekends and talk to "real" people, but this past weekend was all about me and my animals.  It was very refreshing!

Oh yes! I am expecting some little ones.  Last year I was so busy with getting moved I didn't have time to really enjoy them so I am looking forward to watching them this year.

Hidden in this cactus is the proud Mama.

The little ones to be!

The pictures of the Super Moon really don't do it justice.  I didn't have anything to reference the size.  I will tell you that it was a beautiful night in Arizona and it was a privilege to have the opportunity to witness such a gorgeous event.

  2. It's a good thing to unplug on the weekends. I think I need to do that too - I am starting to feel blog burnout creeping up on me. I am married to a Hoosier, so we watch a lot of basketball -especially Purdue. I am feeling a little cheated not being able to view the super moon on Saturday. We had cloudy skies. Your photos turned out great.

  3. I think you are more sociable than I am, Sandy. I'd stay home every weekend given half a chance. I don't mind the occasional night out but my "home and garden time" is precious.

Love your moon shots. I'm glad I saw it on Friday night as Sat night the sky was just one dark mass of nothingness. A bit of bummer as there are no night lights around my place to diminish my view.

  6. Love your photos! I clicked on the cactus to enlarge and found a birdie. What kind is it, do you know? Is it the Mom of the eggs? Inquiring minds want to know.
Film at eleven? I need answers. Part 2 coming up perhaps????

  7. Dear Sandy

I'm sorry for the loss of your husband. Your grief would be still so fresh! But grief is grief, no matter what the loss. The feelings are the same I've found, even if the relationship is different.

Thank you for stopping by my blog. I'll look forward to reading your story which I'm sure will inspire me on mine.
    love

  8. Oh, I loved seeing that moon! My camera doesn't do well with those kinds of shots so it is fun to see your photos!

    Isn't God's creation truly beautiful!
